How visa sponsorship works in Sweden

No employer licence is needed — the role itself has to qualify
Sweden keeps no register of licensed sponsors because it does not need one: any employer can hire a skilled foreign worker if the job clears the route’s bar. For the Swedish work permit, that bar is an annual gross salary of about SEK 356,000. A posting clearly paying below it is excluded, for the same reason a posting that says “no sponsorship” is.
Sweden requires pay of at least 80% of the national median salary, and the role must be advertised in the EU/EEA first.
