How visa sponsorship works in Norway

No employer licence is needed — the role itself has to qualify
Norway keeps no register of licensed sponsors because it does not need one: any employer can hire a skilled foreign worker if the job clears the route’s bar. For the Norwegian skilled worker permit, that bar is an annual gross salary of about NOK 500,000. A posting clearly paying below it is excluded, for the same reason a posting that says “no sponsorship” is.
Pay must match the relevant collective agreement or the going rate for the occupation, rather than a single national figure.
