No employer licence is needed — the role itself has to qualify
Spain keeps no register of licensed sponsors because it does not need one: any employer can hire a skilled foreign worker if the job clears the route’s bar. For the Spain Highly Qualified Professional (Ley 14/2013), that bar is an annual gross salary of about EUR 40,000. A posting clearly paying below it is excluded, for the same reason a posting that says “no sponsorship” is.
No employer licence exists — any Spanish employer can apply, and the Unidad de Grandes Empresas (UGE-CE) decides in about 20 working days, which is why this route is the practical one for tech. Managerial roles sit at a higher figure than the one shown, and thresholds follow the applicable collective agreement, so treat this as indicative and check the source.
