Who is responsible
The data controller is WorkSponsored OÜ, registered in Estonia. For anything in this policy, email contact@nikhil.eu.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address, to sign you in and send anything you asked for (legal basis: performing our contract with you).
- An anonymous visitor identifier in a cookie, so your free job reveals survive a page reload without forcing you to sign up first. It is not used for advertising (legitimate interest: running the free tier without demanding an account).
- Your country, derived from your IP by our CDN, to show the right regional price. We store the country code, not your IP address (legitimate interest: regional pricing).
- Profile details you choose to enter, used only to match you to roles (contract).
- Applications you track, visible only to you. Aggregate, anonymised outcomes improve our scoring (contract, and legitimate interest for the anonymised aggregates).
- Marketing email only with your consent, recorded with a timestamp — and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe that we honour immediately (consent, revocable at any time).
- When you buy, Stripe processes your payment details; they never reach our servers. We keep the purchase record — product, price, country, and Stripe’s reference — because tax and accounting law requires it (legal obligation).
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not share your profile or CV with employers, and no employer or recruiter can browse our users. You are searching for them, not the other way around.
Processors
Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), Vercel (hosting, and privacy-friendly visit counts and page-speed measurements), Neon (database hosting), and Google (Calendar/Meet, only if you book a call). Each processes data only on our instructions under a data-processing agreement.
Our visit counting is cookieless and records no personal data — page, referrer, country and device type, nothing that identifies you and nothing sold or shared onward. That is why this site shows you no cookie banner: the only cookies we set are the sign-in and free-reveal ones described above, and they are required for the site to work at all.
Where your data lives
Our database and servers are hosted in Singapore (Neon and Vercel, Asia-Pacific region), so your data is processed outside the EEA. Our processors commit to EU standard contractual clauses for these transfers, and the same protections in this policy apply wherever the data sits.
How long we keep it
Your account data stays while the account exists and goes when you delete it. Purchase records are kept for seven years because accounting law requires it. Anonymous visitor identifiers serve only to remember free reveals and are never joined back to a person unless you sign up.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted at any time by emailing us — deleting your account removes your profile, tracked applications and alerts. You can also object to or restrict our processing, and take your data elsewhere in a portable format. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or your local supervisory authority — though we would appreciate the chance to fix it first.
